Latest news regarding the incidents at Hankow na Kiu-
king.

The Re-organisation Cont rence at N.n-chang come
to an end on the 5th., nd the Generalis: imo luft for Hu-
puh on the 11th. Regarding linkou na Fiu-king, the
British Consul-General realised a mistake, and asked us
in writing to send troops to pret.ct the Concussion; and
th Concussion has now been taken over by us. The British Foreign Minister he also wired to the British Amousstuur at Pakig, directing him to icllow generous policy. A com-
plute settlement will be ruched, when the Generalissino
reaches Hankov.

Dugne Chin (//=) the Foreign Minister has had today to meetings with tim representatives of British
and Americ merchants, and ssure them definitely that
proper protection would be affcraca to commerce at .nkou.
Chen told them that he had been directed by Government to
inform them that full protection woulu bu ailorded to all
foreign merchants and their interests, anu that they had
no necu to b、 uneasy. He also stated that the action of
the Government regarding the British Conception was necessi- tuted by many different circumstances, t.na its intention
was to prevent the Concession becoming merely a picco of
waste land . Today in the afternoon (the 6th. the French Consul-General paid visit to Lugene Chen (=K MR) the
Foreign Minister, and asked whether the National Government
proposed to suize in its turn the French Concussion also.
